Week in review

Week-end purchase:

Powerstrike 5
ABS & Pushups plus
Bodystrikes

Core Cuts with Rob Glick and Kimberly Spreen.

So at least two new reviews coming this weekend.

Chewie decided that he wanted to pose in the picture, so I couldn’t deny him.

I was able to exercise 4 days this week. My goal was to complete 6 workouts. Falling behind on my Bible readings, but I will catch up this weekend. I should be back on track by Monday. Anna was under the weather one day this week, so my day was focused on getting her back into her smiling self.

A long run is definitely needed tomorrow morning. So plan is to venture outside and complete a 7 miler.

Course study is also going slowly. I am trying to memorize each term and that is slowing me down greatly. I may have to just press on without memorizing each and every term.

Budokon Review

Yoga is an excellent way to reduce stress. That is why I have included more yoga into my weekly rotation.

Budokon-For beginners:

Length: 46 min

mix of martial arts and yoga.
I really liked this workout. It was my first time doing any type of martial arts. At first, I didn’t believe that my heart rate would increase enough to get a good workout, but that was not the case. There are a lot of downward facing dogs, however, I won’t hold that against the workout. I was shaking a little by the end of the yoga poses. Then came the martial arts portion. I really liked this part. This part did make me sweat a little.

I would do this workout again.

JARI

Cathe’s STS/Shock Carido is very challenging for me at this time. So another adjustment is needed. Jari should get me where I need to be.

Success is the path I take

New Year, New Out look

Success is the path that you take,

It’s the decisions that you make.

It’s what your heart is telling you to do

And when looking into the mirror-

Happy with who’s looking back at you.

My decision is made….no one forced it, no one could. My love affair with the Army is over…. For the next 10 months, I will slowly and completely say good-bye. Good-bye to the Organization that I have been a part of for 23 years (the last 6 years being total Hell). I have heard that still small voice (surprisingly my own) saying, “What are you waiting for? Let it go”. It’s time to let go. My hubby’s on board- my kids are on board—and now (finally), I am on board.

Good-bye Uncle Sam—- Hello Mrs. Lamb

Good-bye Army Strong— Hello Gabriel, Brandon, and Anna’s Mom

Steps in the right Direction

If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Matthew 6:14

Today’s step in the right direction: Forgiving others that have done me wrong (as well as forgiving myself for the wrongs that I’ve done to others.)

….look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won’t He more surely care for you? You have so little faith!

Matthew 6:28-29

Step in the right direction: Step out on faith, God will take care of me—where’s my faith? God knows all my needs, and He will give me all I need from day to day if I live for Him and make the Kingdom of God my primary concern.
