Well… Another good workout week.

I’ve set a goal to get up @ 5:00am each morning and alternate 45 min treadmill cardio one day with 60 min treadmill cardio the next day. Then, after work, I get my strength work in. This seems to be going good. I love morning workouts. I get to start my day in a good mood.

I decided to cut my hair!! I’m now sporting a “boy cut” and loving it!! It took about 2 weeks to get with the program, but now, I jell it down and go.

Work is getting more and more rewarding!!! Since I’ve decided to “do it anyway”, I have been at peace. No matter how I’m treated, I will do it anyway…. I will do a good job!!

No Weapon

Isaiah 54:17

“No weapon, formed against me, shall prosper. It won’t work.”
This song makes me remember that God is always with me an that He will not let the evil overtake me. I mean it. I know that I have to be prayed up because that the influences are all around me.

Walking circles around me and my husband and chanting- will not work
Planting food that I don’t eat in the house- will not work
sending curses – will not work
I can get as thin as I want

Now you know that I had to blog on 8-9-10!! Today's workout was a 60 min treadmill walk/run….. two early days in a row!! Yea me. No measurable weight loss for me this week. Now you know that I had to blog on 8-9-10!! Today’s workout was a 60 min treadmill walk/run…..
two early days in a row!! Yea me. No measurable weight loss for me this week.
Dr. Oz has issued a challenge to all Americans “just lose 10 pounds”. If you lose 10 pounds you put less stress on your heart and your overall health increases.
So my goal is (and has always been) to just lose 10 pounds. I will do what I have to do to just lose those 10 pounds. I’m still running to the150’s. It’s just taking forever to get there!!!

Jim Maclaren passed away.

Every last Saturday of the month, a group of fitness lovers dedicate a workout in honor of a man that encourage each one of us to be better; to reach higher; to hang on by pressing pressing play to life. Cardio Coach Press Play was designed to benefit a man who had suffered so much, but was able to continue on and inspire others to follow suit. From doing the CCPP every last Saturday, you are reminded that you have a choice, and that living begins with a single choice……choose life. The hills and the sprints of the workout reminded me that I can survive the hills of life.

Jim Maclaren passed away recently, but he will not be forgotten. Every time I do the workout and master the challenges, I will think of the strength of Jim Maclaren and the struggles that he faced and how he mastered those struggles by choosing life.
