Goodnight, Beautiful

This has been such a restful weekend. New on my reading list is the book, Goodnight, Beautiful.

This book was a good read. I liked how the story line of Mal and Nova was developed. The story was told in two voices- Nova’s and Stephanie’s. Nova and Stephanie are as different as night and day. Nova being good, whereas Stephanie is not so good. The link between the two women is Mal; Nova’s best-friend, Stephanie’s husband. Because Nova is so good, and Stephanie is so bad, Stephanie sets out to separate Nova and Mal.

This is a heart-breaking story that does not have a happily ever after ending. It addresses some mental illness- such as bipolar disorder/ manic depressive. With bipolar there is also co-dependentancy. By the end of the book, I was longing to see Nova come out on top. This book was not a waste of time.

Fitness: I have yet to plan next week’s rotation. I’m thinking that I need to run a little more. So my goal is to get at least 10 miles in this week. Along with the running, I will do at least 2 days of strength work. Lately, I have not been as consistent as I need to be. But a simple change of mind is all I need to get back on track.

Sewing: My sis and I are in the process of designing workout clothes. From our rough design (very rough), we will attempt to sew something up. At the least, it should be a fun project.

Keep living,

Keep loving,

Keep living stress-free,
